Ubiquiti UniFi Networking, Wi-Fi, Cameras & Access Control

Business networks are becoming more integrated. The gateway, switches, Wi-Fi, cameras, door access, and remote management increasingly share the same cabling, PoE infrastructure, racks, internet connections, and support team. Ubiquiti’s UniFi ecosystem is designed around that convergence, with a broad lineup of gateways, switches, wireless access points, Protect video security, and Access door-control products managed through UniFi applications.

Sarsfield Technology provides both the technical and physical sides of UniFi deployments. We can design the network, run and terminate cabling, install racks, mount access points and cameras, deploy gateways and switches, configure VLANs and guest Wi-Fi, set up VPN and failover, install NVR/storage, integrate access-control hardware, and provide ongoing support.

Why Ubiquiti with Sarsfield Technology

The quality of a Wi-Fi or camera project depends as much on design and installation as the hardware itself. Access-point placement, cable quality, PoE capacity, rack organization, camera angle, door hardware, network segmentation, and internet design all affect the result. Our field-services and IT teams work together so the physical install and the network configuration are designed as one system.

Ubiquiti Solutions We Implement & Support

UniFi Cloud Gateways & Routing

UniFi Cloud Gateways range from compact small-site models through high-performance enterprise systems. Current gateway capabilities include firewalling, IDS/IPS, application and web filtering, VPN, Site Magic/SD-WAN functions, intelligent failover, detailed traffic logging, and centralized Site Manager visibility. We select gateways based on internet speed, security throughput, site size, applications, and whether the device will also host Protect or other UniFi applications.

UniFi Switching & PoE

UniFi switches provide access, aggregation, and Power over Ethernet for access points, cameras, phones, and door-control equipment. We calculate port count, PoE budget, uplink speed, rack space, fiber needs, and future growth, then install and label switching and patching so the network remains serviceable.

Wi-Fi 6, 6E & Wi-Fi 7

Ubiquiti now offers a broad Wi-Fi 7 lineup including U7 Pro, U7 Pro Max, U7 Long-Range, U7 Lite, U7 Pro XG/XGS and enterprise E7 models. Wi-Fi 6/6E options remain useful in many environments. We plan access-point placement around coverage, density, construction, interference, roaming, and available cabling instead of simply adding more radios.

UniFi Protect Cameras & Video Recording

UniFi Protect combines IP cameras, NVR/storage, mobile/web viewing, detections, and related security-video management. We can design camera coverage, run cabling, mount and aim cameras, install recording hardware, configure retention, create user access, and separate camera traffic appropriately on the network.

UniFi Access Door Control

UniFi Access supports door hubs, readers, credentials, mobile access, visitor workflows, and integration with UniFi cameras. Current products include single-door, gate, and enterprise multi-door hub options. We can install the network-side equipment and coordinate or perform supported low-voltage door components such as readers, request-to-exit devices, electric strikes, magnetic locks, and related cabling depending on the project.

Remote Management, VPN & Multi-Site Support

UniFi Site Manager provides centralized visibility across managed locations. Current gateways also support WireGuard VPN and Site Magic connectivity for remote users and site-to-site designs. We can use these capabilities to support multi-location clients, remote access, ISP monitoring, and faster troubleshooting.

Current Capabilities & 2026 Product Direction

  • UniFi’s current Cloud Gateway platform includes advanced IDS/IPS, Layer 7 controls, content filtering, VPN/SD-WAN, failover, traffic-flow visibility, and centralized Site Manager monitoring.

  • Ubiquiti now offers an extensive Wi-Fi 7 lineup, including U7 Pro/Pro Max/Long-Range/Lite and higher-capacity enterprise E7 products.

  • Selected current Wi-Fi 7 enterprise models support 10 GbE uplinks, 6 GHz, high client density, and dedicated RF filtering/scanning capabilities.

  • UniFi Access now offers a range of single-door, gate, and multi-door hubs, mobile wallet/Touch Pass support on selected readers, face unlock on selected hardware, and camera integration.

  • The broader UniFi ecosystem continues to combine networking, Protect video, Access, Identity, and management under one platform.

A Better Fit for the Whole Technology Environment

Ubiquiti is particularly well suited to Sarsfield Technology because our team can handle both field installation and network engineering. Clients do not need a separate cabling contractor, camera installer, Wi-Fi vendor, and network administrator for every part of the same project. We can design the infrastructure, install it cleanly, configure it, and support it afterward.

Serving Troy & Southeast Michigan Businesses

Sarsfield Technology is based in Troy, Michigan and supports small and midsize businesses throughout Southeast Michigan. We combine Ubiquiti expertise with managed IT services, cybersecurity, cloud, networking, backup, communications, field installation, and user support. That gives clients one local technology partner that can evaluate the entire environment and coordinate the vendors behind it.
